The Fondren Period Equity Project is an initiative that was started by the Fondren UX (user experience) Office in the fall of 2022 stemming from a Proposal for Menstrual Products in Fondren Library Restrooms by Sophia DeLeon-Wilson '23. The project is run by Fondren student workers and volunteers. The goal of the project is to reliably provide free and accessible menstrual products to those who use the library, regardless of identity, ability, or economic status.

From May through the end of August, menstrual products will only be stocked in the first-floor women's and gender-neutral restrooms, and the basement women's restroom. During the regular semesters, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th floor restrooms are stocked with menstrual products.
