Rice faculty can grant proxy borrowing privileges to teaching or research assistants by using the online Faculty Proxy Borrowing Privileges form. The faculty member's account will be associated with the proxy's ID. The proxy will then be able to check books out to the faculty member's account, as well as pick up holds, recalled items, and interlibrary loans. Please note that faculty members are responsible for all items checked out to their accounts by their proxies. Faculty members should not give their Rice IDs to proxies, as doing so is against university policies; the proxy will only have to present their own ID.
