Ebook downloading and "checkout" lengths vary by platform and individual title, and range from 1 day to 14.
Many of the library's e-books can be used by only one person at a time, even when just browsing online (we don't like it either, but the publishers set it up this way). Most of these books will become available for use after a certain period of "inactivity." If the current user is actively using the e-book, however, it may be some time before you can "get in."
For lots of details on e-books (how to find e-books, how to download them, inactivity periods, etc.) please consult our Ebook libguide.
Happy reading!
