Fondren Library doesn't have a children's room or collection. Since Rice doesn't have an extensive K-12 education program, we have very few books or magazines that are suited for younger readers.

We do have access (courtesy of the Texas State Library Program called Texshare) to a number of databases that are suited to younger students.  Please see our Young Readers guide.

In order both to protect your child's safety and to provide a good research/study environment for our college-age students, we require that a parent or guardian accompany and supervise any visitor under 18 years of age.
