Q. Can I keep my books after I leave Rice?

Once you lapse in enrollment as a student, all library materials become immediately due. Once you re-enroll in classes and pay your tuition/fees, your enrollment status will be updated in our system by the registrar's office.

As a staff/faculty member, all books become immediately due upon the termination of your employment with Rice University. If items you had previously checked out had a due date after your termination date, they become due on your termination date (this will be reflected in the library's system as well). Any outstanding fees and replacement costs for unreturned items will be deducted from your final paycheck.
